Cataract surgery is one of the most commonly performed procedures in ophthalmic practice. The indication for performing this surgical procedure has in its present state of evolution, expanded to include compromised eyes with pre-existing co-morbid ocular conditions. An appropriately planned and meticulously executed surgical procedure taking into account all the expected complications is necessary to visually rehabilitate these patients.
